Bring the page and its baseline
Provide the current article, target topic, audience, and available Search Console or analytics exports. SEO Researcher does not automatically supply your site’s traffic, conversions, internal-link inventory, or historical ranking performance. An absence of those inputs is unknown, not zero.
Review this existing page [URL or supplied text] for [topic/audience].
Use SEO Researcher with target_url [URL], brand_domain [domain], and
[market/language]. Preserve useful original examples and these explicit
requirements: [requirements]. Compare the research with the current page.
Return prioritized changes with exact sections, evidence, reader benefit,
and effort. Separate factual corrections, intent mismatch, missing useful
coverage, duplication, and presentation issues. Use supplied analytics
as a separate input. Propose changes before rewriting or publishing.
Edit proportionately
Correct consequential factual errors first. Then resolve intent mismatch, missing decision information, stale comparisons, and confusing structure. Preserve distinctive examples and credible first-party evidence. Do not rewrite every paragraph just to make the page appear fresh.
A new topic or changed intent may need a separate page, but avoid creating near-duplicate pages for every query variation. Check the existing site inventory before recommending consolidation, a new URL, redirects, or canonical changes. Research alone cannot prove cannibalization.
Record what changed
Keep the previous version, changed sections, evidence date, and publication date. Choose a measurement window based on traffic and how often the topic changes. Compare like-for-like country, device, query, and time periods. A later ranking or citation change can have several causes; do not claim the edit caused it without stronger evidence.
Next: review and measurement.
